IT DONT MATTER OF YOUR BLACK OR WHITE!

Im in a painting mood- seriously everything in my house might be white next week- I started with my coffee table sanded it down

Paint color is Benjamin Moores white cotton. With dry touches of cable knit. Basically I took a dry brush and very light amounts of paint and dragged it across for a more weathered look.
I still need to go get some beautiful hardware- unfortunately the closest anthropology is 3 hours away And we don't have very many craft stores-
Until november - then we get one in Calgary I'm soooooo excited
Next week I'm tackling the couch- Fabric is here and Im stoked!

Oh how I love thee Green Coral Paint

We are currently in the process of revamping our living room. I went through the whole global bizarre phase when I used to work at Pier one as a visual merchandiser. Needless to say my taste has changed like crazy in the last 4 years- and I am completely sick of black in my house. So off I went to Benjamin Moore. The color I picked was coral green-the name scared me because I wanted more of a tiffany blue- but I closed my eyes and held up 3 color samples then opened my eyes and the one I was drawn  to first is what I picked- that way I knew I would love it. Ahh I heart you Benjamin Moore. The mecca of goodness for a color lover. Heres a shot of my end table before.

I got this nifty little sander at the store- I really want  a power one for x mas-
but this worked just fine and was nicer than holding sandpaper by far!

And drum roll please.......Ta Daaa
The finished product whimsical fresh and quirky-
I think thats my word of the week
and the whole project costed under 15 bucks.
Is it not amazing what a little paint  will do!
I'm on the hunt for some cute hardware- any suggestions-
this one is weird because there are 2 screws in the backs of the pull handles.

I changed my mind

Have you ever heard of tonic- well if you havn't it's amazing! Retro printed upholstery fabric. I originally wanted to do a big floral print for the couch. But I saw this and fell in love. Plus its 3 times less and when you have to order 18 yards- thats an awesome deal! I also think it works better with my house.  All of my baseboards are black. I love the vintage feel- But I am also extremely retro in my style and love 60's influences. So I think I can put bright pillows on the black and white- that way If I ever get sick of my house- I think this couch will always always be quirky Bree. Im excited to start redoing my house. I'm painting a lot of stuff trying to use what I have just in different ways. So you like?
Antique couch in this print with the wood white?

I have one big pet peeve as an Event Planner.
Fake flowers

But Friends my mind might've been changed tonight.
An amazing etsy sellers makes bridal bouquets out of Vintage cabochons and brooches.

Excuse me as I wipe the drool off the floor.

These are drop dead gorgeous and so original that I'm in love. I want one to put in a little mercury vase by my nightstand table. So I can wake up to sparkling beautiful color every morning.
