The Power Of A Slipcover

This blog post has me thinking that I can accomplish this task.

BEFORE THE SLIPCOVER

AFTER THE SLIPCOVER

I love how Shelley's slipcovers unify the look of her living room, while inexpensively covering her thrift store purchases.
I have two tub chairs that are excellent quality that I stole from my mom's basement.  The only problem?  Purple and Teal.  BLEH!  I have tried to find some decent fabric to slipcover them in, but if its going to cost me a couple hundred dollars than it isn't really saving my anything to reupholster them.  You know?  So the fabric hunt is on.  I can do this!

I saw in some blogs people buy a drop cloth you normally use to protect furniture when doing a paint job,and using the fabric for curtains, upholstery, etc..
You get a quite large piece of heavy duty cotton fabric for a cheap price at the hardware store (Home Depot or Lowes).
