I was able to help out last week with a church functions flower arrangements. What I love about these is that their is a christmas overtone without having the traditional christmas arrangement. Don't be afraid to use exotics during the winter months. It's amazing what some palm leave s spider mums and orchids will do to step up an arrangement to the next level of beautiful and "not the norm" Also try using different shapes-japanese design always has a different proportion so try a symmetrical and weird angles if your looking for a more modern look. It's ok to use fav's like gerbs and roses- but you can get these in any florist shop-a good designer will know when somethings classed up just by the types of flowers in the arrangement. So have fun dare to be different this christmas season
